Quotex Live Account: What Changes When You Trade for Real

A Quotex live account is the real-money version of the platform — the same interface as the demo, but every contract uses funds you actually deposited. There's no separate registration for it. Every Quotex user has one account with two balances you switch between: demo and live.

Live Account vs. Demo Account

The interface doesn't change when you switch. Same charts, same asset list, same expiry options. What changes is what happens to the money at the end of each contract.

How to Switch From Demo to Live

1. Log in at qxbroker.com/en/sign-in/.
2. Click the balance display at the top of the trading screen.
3. Select Real from the dropdown (Demo is usually the default view after login).
4. If your real balance is $0, the platform will prompt a deposit before you can place a contract.
5. Fund the account — minimum $10 — using an available method for your region.

What Actually Changes on a Live Account

Money is real. A correct forecast pays out a percentage of your stake (commonly in the 60–95% range, shown before you confirm the contract) credited to your account if the forecast settles correctly. An incorrect forecast means the staked amount is gone. There's no reset button like on demo.

Verification can apply. Quotex may request identity documents before processing a withdrawal, even if none were needed to open the account or make a deposit.

Withdrawals become relevant. Demo balances can't be withdrawn — obviously, since they're not real. On a live account, Quotex states withdrawal processing typically takes 1–5 business days, with crypto and e-wallet routes usually faster than card routes.

The psychological part is different. This is the one thing no comparison table captures. Placing a contract with $10,000 of virtual money and placing one with $10 you transferred yourself don't feel the same. Most traders notice this the first time they switch — it's worth expecting rather than being surprised by it.

Before You Fund a Live Account

There's no fixed rule for how long to stay on demo, but a few practical checkpoints tend to matter:

• You understand how fixed-time contracts settle and what happens to your stake if the forecast is wrong.
• You've navigated the platform enough that finding assets, setting expiry, and reading the payout percentage feels routine.
• You know which deposit method you'll use and roughly what it costs (exchanger spread, network fee, etc.).
• You're starting with an amount you're fully prepared to lose — the $10 minimum exists for a reason.
