How to Deposit on Quotex from Qatar

Quotex has no dedicated Qatar payment rail, and the picture here splits in two directions. A Visa or Mastercard bank card works in practice for most Qatari traders, the same as it does in most markets this site covers. Crypto is a different story. We're not doing that for Qatar, because there's no sanctioned, bank-backed way to convert QAR into USDT here, and describing one anyway would mean glossing over a standing institutional restriction rather than reporting it honestly.

This is the route most Qatari traders can actually use, and it doesn't require routing through any third-party exchange.

Step 1 — Log in and go to the deposit page

Log in at qxbroker.com. Go to Finance > Deposit and select Visa/Mastercard.

Step 2 — Enter your card details and amount

Enter the amount you want to deposit (Quotex's minimum is $10) along with your card number, expiry, and CVV. Confirm the transaction.

Step 3 — Complete any bank verification step

Your issuing bank may prompt a 3D Secure check — an SMS code or a confirmation through your banking app — before approving the charge. Complete it promptly, since the authorisation window is time-limited.

Step 4 — Check your Quotex balance

Card deposits are usually instant or clear within a few minutes. If nothing shows after a short wait, check your bank app first to confirm whether the charge actually went through before contacting Quotex support.

If your card is declined, that's almost always an issuer-side restriction on international or trading-platform merchant categories, not a Quotex-side error. Your bank's support line can usually tell you whether the block applies specifically to this kind of transaction.

Why We're Not Describing a Crypto Deposit Route

On paper, Quotex accepts USDT and other cryptocurrencies as a global deposit option, and it's tempting to treat that as a fallback when a card gets declined. We're deliberately not walking through a crypto deposit process for Qatar, for a specific reason rather than a generic caution.

QCB Circular No. 6/2018 bars every financial institution operating in Qatar — banks and exchange houses included — from dealing in Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency. Under that circular, a Qatari bank can't open a crypto account for you, can't exchange crypto on your behalf, and can't process a crypto transfer, sale, or purchase. That rule sits on the institution side, but its effect reaches anyone trying to move QAR into crypto through the formal banking system, because there's no licensed exchange or bank channel inside Qatar built to do it.

The Qatar Financial Centre added a second layer on top of that in 2019, when the QFCRA announced that no virtual asset service may be conducted in or from the QFC. When the QFC rolled out its Digital Assets Regulations 2024, opening the door to tokenizing real assets like shares and bonds, the QFCRA's own announcement made a point of confirming that cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and CBDCs remain classified as "Excluded Tokens" under that new framework. In plain terms: Qatar built one legitimate new channel for digital assets in 2024, and crypto was specifically kept out of it.

None of this is the same as Algeria's outright criminal ban on individual crypto ownership, and we haven't found a Qatari statute that names personal possession of crypto as a crime for an individual. But there's a real difference between "unregulated, proceed with normal caution" and "the institutions that would need to facilitate this transaction are barred from doing so by circular." What to Do Instead: The Demo Account

What to Do if Your Card Deposit Is Delayed or Fails

1. If the charge shows as pending or declined in your banking app but Quotex hasn't credited the deposit, wait a short period first — some authorisations take a few minutes to finalise.
